Why The Mission is the Coolest Church in South Florida: Reason #3 Serving the Community

A couple weeks ago I posted in my Facebook status that The Mission is the coolest church in South Florida.

For those who don’t know why I thought I would post just a few of the reasons.  These will come in no particular order.  So I’m stating just some of the reasons The Mission is the coolest church in South Florida:

#3:  Serving the Community the Way Jesus Served.

I honor every church that is trying to serve the community.  I believe that God calls different people to function in the Body of Christ differently.  At The Mission we have a pretty clear vision for serving South Florida.

We believe that the only way to the Father is through the Son and that He is the desire of all the nations.  We believe that it is not God’s desire that any should perish but that all would come to the knowledge of repentance.  With that in mind we have no challenge at all in coming up with a way to serve the community.

We preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Will that turn people off?  Maybe.  Will that keep us from being larger than the Dolphins new stadium?  Probably.  Will that enable people to escape eternal damnation? Most definitely.

When we go into the community our idea of a giveaway is to give away healings.  When we are given a microphone we are going to give away the Gospel.  We are not scared of being rejected for the Gospel’s sake but count it an honor to be counted worthy of persecution.

Recently, we have gained favor in Delray Beach and have been given the opportunity to do some songs at community events.   We could do anything we wanted but we dare not be given a platform by God and not spread His Word.  The bible says that one day we will have to give an account for every opportunity we are given.  So we choose not to be active in the political arena instead we stay focused on willing souls.

Here is a clip from a community event we had the opportunity to be a part of.  When you are done watching it the Holy Ghost may move upon your heart to donate some big boy video equipment.  Heed that leading.
