Why The Mission is the Coolest Church in South Florida: Reason #2 The Tape-Up

Last week I posted in my Facebook status that The Mission is the coolest church in South Florida.

For those who don’t know why I thought I would post just a few of the reasons.  These will come in no particular order.  So in stating just some of the reasons The Mission is the coolest church in South Florida:

# 2 why: The Tape-Up.

What’s cool about a tape-up?  Nothing really.  It’s just a hair style.

But at The Mission you will see more guys with tape-ups then anything else.  In order to have a tape-up you have to get your hair cut regularly.  Otherwise you look unkempt.   That means you have to care about your personal appearance as part of your lifestyle.

Not sophomoric obsession with appearance, ie,

“ohmygodbeckie, I like have a hair that was not streaked!  Shut Up!”

But the kind of care that causes a man to put on clean clothes, shave, and keep his hair trimmed and neat. as a way of life.  That’s cool.
