Why The Mission is the Coolest Church in South Florida: Reason #1 Extacy

Last week I posted in my Facebook status that The Mission is the coolest church in South Florida.

For those who don’t know why I thought I would post just a few of the reasons.  These will come in no particular order.  So in stating just some of the reasons The Mission is the coolest church in South Florida:

#1 My worship leader has a song about the time he overdosed on extacy.

Whats cool about a drug overdose you ask?  Absolutely nothing.

The fact that God uses people with a past is awesome.  It shows how truly forgiving our God is.  The fact that the people of The Mission could care less about what happened to people before they got right with God?  This is an amazing facet of our congregation.

The fact that Sergio can write his testimony, make a beat, and rap the whole thing and sing the hook?  Pure coolness.

We don’t have rappers at The Mission so we can be cool.  We have rappers at The Mission because that is part of who we are . . . cool.
