Top 10 Posts for 2008
I have decided that in the near furture the Revival Blog will be no more. So for posterity’s sake I will include in my top posts for 2008, posts from my former blog.
This post is not based on any mathematical formula other than the amount of comments caught my attention.
So, with no further suspense
The top 10 posts of last year. You can find last years top ten here.
10: The Church is Pagan? Please!
You know those churches that God inhabits when people gather to worship Him? You know, the ones that He saves people in, touches their hearts causing them to fall in love with Him and give their lives to His cause? Apparently God hates those places according to Barna.
9: A Question for the Modern Prophetic Movement – What Are You Talking About?
I just got a word, Bible. Crack it open, read what it says. And stop the stupid fear mongering. Jesus has not come back to Judge the earth through a presidential election.
8: Tongues and Interpretation of Tongues in Worship
Are the people in your ministry used to seeing people develop their gifts? Do people gossip or freak out when someone gets it wrong? Or do they understand this is part of the process?
Note to Spirit-filled churches: Telling the truth is not the absence of faith, it is keeping from sin.
6: What Lakeland Tells Me About the Church #4: We Can All Use A Little Sharpening
The fact of the matter is that since the earliest recorded history, when God does something, it stirs up all kinds of dust and that usually clouds people’s vision.
Pastors I have a challenge for you. Ask your wife if she is ucomfortable with any of your relationships.
4: Note to Budding Ministers: Do What You Do
I will never be on a podcast with Perry Noble or Mark Batterson. Rick Warren will not be writing a forward to my books. But I am happy doing what I am called to do.
3: What Lakeland Tells Me About the Church #2: The Church is Still Segregated
The fact remains that Pentecost was born in multiculturalism but by and large that is gone.
2: Why I Know that Todd Bentley’s Ministry Will Be Restored
note: I have never gotten so many emails condemning me to hell as this post caused. I find it amazing how many Christians are offended at extending grace to a fallen minister.
I have been meditating on this whole Todd Bentley fiasco and I got a supernatural faith for Todd’s restoration.
