Thoughts on Monday

June 15, 2009 at 8:17 am Posted in The Mission
  • Guess I have not figured out a title for my day after blog post.
  • I spend most of Saturday in prayer.  Not how I planned to spend the day.
  • When God shows up in your life your schedule is no longer your schedule.
  • His presence is here right now
  • Receive the fire of God
  • Selah
  • Started Sunday morning discovering my hot water heater had burst in my closet.
  • Not how I want to start a Sunday morning.
  • Got to church and discovered that the a/c was not working.
  • Thats 2 weeks in a row.
  • If they don’t get that fixed we will find a new place to meet!
  • Not really kidding about that last one.
  • The worship team did “to know your name”
  • They did it because it is one of my favorite songs.
  • I know You gave
The word Your only Son for us
    To know Your name
To live within the Saviour’s love
    He took my place
    Knowing He’d be crucified
    And You loved
    You loved a people undeserving

  • That chorus gets me every time
  • I pulled out an oldie but goodie with Refiner’s fire.
  • I have been listening to a bunch of Kent Henry lately.  I will blog on that this week.  But something about humbly seeking the presence of God that has me stirred.
  • We had some awesome healing testimonies today.  I will try to get the video up soon.
  • My intention while preaching was to bust the devil in the mouth
  • I am going hard after sin.
  • Hey preacher!  Listen to me.  Your people perish for lack of knowledge.  Thats knowledge of what God expects from us.  Not money, sex, parenting, hapiness, or anything else that passes for preaching these days.
  • God’s people are being devoured by the enemy because they have not been taught how to live right befre God.
  • For those who don’t know The Mission completely rejects the modern pleasure-centered Gospel.
  • We are to be Holy as God is Holy.
  • We do that through the power of the HOly Ghost.
  • People ran to God after the message to get cleasensed and make a new commitment to holy living
  • Had a bunch of folks contact me after service telling me what God did in their lives.
  • Had no time to greet any visitors.
  • Hope they come back so I can meet them
  • After service when there were only a handful of us in the sanctuary we just worshiped till freedom came.
  • It was truly awesome
  • I couldn’t enjoy it for too long because I had to get home and replace my hot water heater
  • I did not have a hot water heater in my budget
  • By the end of the day I was completely exhausted!
  • I have to finish that up and a whole bunch of things that I had hoped to do today.
  • Hey Missionaries, lift your pastor up in prayer today.
  • pics are up.
  • Podcast will be up shortly
  • We are already planning for the July 5th picnic
  • We have a bunch of really cool people joining The Mission
  • Thanks to all those who gave in the special offering for a new sound system.
  • We are going to have a baptism soon.  Let me know if you need baptized.

    Hey Bro!

The last couple of days I have looking at Ashterah, Molech and Chemosh and their influence in Soloman’s Day. After reading your post, I’m wondering if that influence is what we are battling in our day?

David, it’s not something I wonder about having seen with my own eyes… I personally know people who worship ashterah… the others wouldn’t surprise me… time for the church to stop siding with them and rise up and do what we’re supposed to be doing!
