Thoughts From the Day After Service

June 29, 2009 at 9:15 am Posted in The Mission
  • Long day yesterday so probably a short post today.
  • The worship was so free I could not believe it.
  • Felt like a huge weight had been lifted off the service
  • Right in the middle of the third song God began to speak to me.  Not about the service, not about the message, but spoke to me about me.  It was awesome.
  • At the same time there was a bunch of angelic activity in the room
  • There was a stirring of the prophetic anointing.
  • We mixed live musicians with electronic music for the first time
  • Give it up for Bryan, first time doing the welcome and announcements
  • Had Ralph on the soundboard doing the live mix was nice
  • Bunch of visitors.
  • It is really weird for me to look into the crowd and not recognize folks
  • It is even stranger to get a connection card and see that the visitor was invited by someone I don’t know.
  • But that is how the kingdom is supposed to work
  • Preached on baptism being the burial of your old man
  • I preached it so strong that a 10 year old girl went home crying because she thought that her aunt might go to the baptism and die.  Yikes!
  • Christianity is not a suicide cult!  At least not in the natural
  • Had a full altar of folks wanting to die to the old man and be alive to Christ
  • After service had a little Wendy’s.  Their new asian chicken thing is just Nuggets with sauce poured over them.
  • Baptized 20 folks
  • Several got the Baptism in the Holy Ghost
  • Really can’t believe that I get to be a part of what God is doing at The Mission
  • Podcast is up
  • Service photos should be up today
  • Baptism photos are up

When you get saved you will see why baptisms are like a party.
