The Walk On Music – My Theme Song

This past Sunday we celebrated The Mission’s first birthday of Sunday morning services.  In the next week or so I am going to post a few thoughts about that.  Today I am going to list some of the theme songs we have had for our various message series.

Normally, I will add these at the beginning of the podcast, but more importantly, they start playing this song after I have been introduced and until I get on the stage.  It’s kind of like a fighters theme song that they play as he comes down the isle.  Why do we do this?  Because I kind of like it.

Christian Living

We had a bunch of new Christians that were getting revelation but had not quite gotten holiness. I wanted to do a series on the basics of Christian living. For this one Sergio chopped up a verse in one of his group’s songs and threw it onto a beat.

Supernatural

We jacked all the graphics for our Supernatural series but everything else was original. Right down to the theme song done by our very own Sergio Barbosa. He got a lyric from one of his songs then chopped and screwed it and made Holy Ghost fiya.

New Beginnings

The New Beginnings series marked the launching of The Mission as a Sunday morning church. For the theme we used Canton Jones’ song “On a Mission”

For the House of God series we used a song by Mikey Mike from the Mission.
