The Bible is Not a History Book

Too many people read the Bible to see what God used to do. There is something to be gained by that but there is something better.
I read the bible to see who God is.
He is the same yesterday, today and forever.
When I read the Bible I ask God to show me aspects of His character that I take for granted. I want to embrace all that He is and emulate those characteristics to a lost world.
