I’ve read a bunch of different blogs actually calling for Christians to pray against Obama. Oops! Meanwhile Paul inspires his folks to pray for the Roman emperors and their henchmen.

Good post Carl. It’s interesting that the scriptures do not allow for ANY negativity towards our leaders and officials! I am amazed at the fact that when Paul wrote these words….he was talking about Nero!!!!! The guy who ended up putting him to death!!!! WOW.

Thanks for posting this Carl. I am really tired of hearing and reading all of the bashing and trashing of Pres. Obama and he hasn’t even really started his job yet. Many of us have forgotten about that Scripture in I Timothy and feel like we have the “right” to bash the President because he is pro choice and more “inclusive” than a lot of us are. But we don’t–we are commanded to pray and make supplication for our leaders….disagree with them and stand for truth and righteousness when we see they are wrong in their policy making or decisions…anything else is fleshly and ungodly and demonic.
