Thank God for President Barack Obama
First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way. This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
Have you thanked God for our President? You should because the Bible tells us to.
As Americans, we can diagree and even argue policy. As Christians, we are not allowed to trash our leaders. Make it a new President resolution not to speak ill of those in authority this year, both in government, in the church, and at your job. You will close an open door to the enemy in your life and actually live in more peace. It’s the promise of God right there in 1 Timothy.

Thanks for posting this Carl. I am really tired of hearing and reading all of the bashing and trashing of Pres. Obama and he hasn’t even really started his job yet. Many of us have forgotten about that Scripture in I Timothy and feel like we have the “right” to bash the President because he is pro choice and more “inclusive” than a lot of us are. But we don’t–we are commanded to pray and make supplication for our leaders….disagree with them and stand for truth and righteousness when we see they are wrong in their policy making or decisions…anything else is fleshly and ungodly and demonic.

Good post Carl. It’s interesting that the scriptures do not allow for ANY negativity towards our leaders and officials! I am amazed at the fact that when Paul wrote these words….he was talking about Nero!!!!! The guy who ended up putting him to death!!!! WOW.

Thanks Carl for posting this reminder.
I’ve read a bunch of different blogs actually calling for Christians to pray against Obama. Oops! Meanwhile Paul inspires his folks to pray for the Roman emperors and their henchmen.
