Monday Morning Musings–Tuesday Exhaustion Edition

September 27th, 2011 | 3 Comments | Posted in The Mission

I just finished a great meeting with Corey Pagano and Lidia Pereira.  We are revamping our First Impressions, Guest Reception, Pre-Service Intercession, and Usher ministries.  I could not be more excited!  The big unveil is this weekend.

If you are not serving one of these areas is definitely the way to go.

I preached Peter’s characterization of Noah as a preacher of righteousness.  When you read how little of what Noah said is in the bible you see that this is a really big deal.

In the midst I talked about how pride clouds our assessment of how great we are.  Came out way funnier than I intended.  If you like Derek Jeter or making fun of the folks in the little school bus check it out here.

I had the last bit of the bug I was dealing with last week messing with me and I felt all kinds of awful.  Glad the message came out ok.

Here is the podcast.

The video from worship should be here by about 11:30 or so.

Pics should be up soon.

Service video should be up tomorrow.  Also got some cool testimony videos that are going up as well.

Pastor David will be here in about a week and a half.  Gonna be great to have him in town.

Haven’t slept well in days.  Pray for a brother.

Good night.

Monday Morning Musings: Aware of Angels Edition

Here is the deal with this post, I woke up this morning with the beginnings of my wife’s cold and I began to feel worse throughout the day.  I don’t feel like mincing words.  Believe what I write here or not.

It is really hard to recap a service like we had yesterday.

Here is the deal, if you are going to be a church that preaches the baptism in the Holy Ghost, being Spirit lead, Kingdom minded, then every now and then your services are going to look like they came from another Kingdom and God may not tell you ahead of time how that is going to work.

The service really started earlier in the week.  I began to experience a strong presence of the Lord before He started telling me He wanted to do some fresh things at The Mission.

I then began to notice strong angelic activity.  What that activity was exactly will have to be for another post.

Friday night intercession was a real confirmation that the Spirit of God was going to move in a mighty way.  I had everyone get on the mic and begin to prophecy over the people who would be in service that Sunday and release the gifts God had given them.

One of the things that blessed me was how eager the people of The Mission Delray are to see other people walk in whatever gifting they walk in.  This is truly a group of people who want to give away what God has given them.

Sunday morning I was so overcome with the presence of God it was hard to function.  I had to have Tracey help me pick out an outfit.

At service I was back in my little room getting ready for service.  I cannot exaggerate how present the Spirit of God was.  At one point my assistant came in the room and as soon as he came through the door he fell to the ground.

Fast Forward

Here is a link to worship.  I left on it the music during the offering.

Right before it was time for me to go on stage I take a deep breath, run up and begin to flow with the Holy Ghost.

Here is the video of the service.  The good news is that I taught long enough that we were able to have a podcast. It should be up soon.

Right after the end of the video the spirit of prophecy began to flow.  Angels began to minister and lives were changed.

At the end of service something really cool happened but that would make this post too long.  Take my word for it, it was amazing.

No service pics yet but they should be coming.

Sunday Morning Reflections

May 4th, 2009 | 1 Comment | Posted in The Mission
  • Not sure why I do these.  But here I go:
  • I am writing this Monday morning.  I am slap exhausted.
  • Went to a tent revival Saturday night and got almost no sleep that night
  • Went to review my message Sunday morning and the Holy Ghost gave me a completely different message
  • I was exhausted but excited that that God had a message for the people of The Mission
  • Got to Orchard View Elementary and there was no air conditioning
  • Wow
  • We are in south Florida.  A/C is not an option
  • They got it working but it took a while before you could notice
  • Lots of visitors
  • Good worship
  • Preached my guts out
  • Big altar call
  • I am grieved over the people who are called to be a part of what God is doing at The Mission but choose to stay away because of pride, sins of the flesh, or a critical spirit
  • People need to start telling the devil to shut up then get on their face and seek God’s plan for their lives
  • I am blessed that so many folks that are with us are hungry for Jesus
  • Even folks that are struggling through some things are still in the fight.  That is awesome
  • Its easy to praise when things are going well.  Give me the folks that show up in the midst of the struggle.
  • photos and podcast are up
  • went to a tent revival after service about 2 hours away.
  • There are still people who do church without video and fancy lighting.  The Holy Ghost did not seem to feel uncomfortable because He sure showed up!
  • Got in late, late, late last night.  Still exhausted from ministering at the altar with David Copeland
