Carl’s Mighty Men
At service this past week the Lord spoke to me. After He did I got a camera and took this picture.
The Lord began talking to me about David’s mighty men. There is a move of the Spirit to recapture the heart of men for the glory of the Lord. Many ministers are sensing this and doing what they can to win these men for Jesus. This is an awesome and a terrible thing.
It is awesome because across denominational lines I see ministries hearing the same leading of the Spirit. This is what is best about the Body of Christ.
This is a terrible thing because in many cases these ministries are doing what they can and in the process abandoning what God wants to do. Without the moving of the Spirit all this work is vanity.
In order to appeal to these men I have seen ministries turn to all forms of ungodliness thinking this is more attractive. You don’t have to look very far to find a local church that is contorting all logic to throw the word “SEX” in every sermon series topic. Can’t wait to see the sermon series “The Sexiness of Purity” or “Sex in the Pulpit – Are you a Complementarian?” or some other such nonsense. In addition, believing that God will judge every idle word is not hip enough for today’s men so all manner of foul language is spoken in the Name of Jesus.
The Holy Ghost does not need any of these ways of men.
The Holy Ghost showed me that indeed men of valor are being raised up. Men of battle. Men’s men. But these will also be men of honor, a character seemingly not as highly esteemed.
At The Mission, I prophesied a troop of Mighty Men that God is raising up. Men who will proclaim the Gospel with boldness backed up with signs and wonders. Men who know their God and know that His Spirit is Holy.
Press in men of God. The Lord will do mighty wonders in your midst.
