Sunday Night Thoughts

Another great day serving the Lord- Was not sure exactly what God was going to do today. I did not have a clear sense of what the message was before I got in the pulpit. I know that is not popular to say but it is the truth.
- Heard some awesome testimonies today.
- Sorry Sarah, I know you did not want to speak. I blamed it on Alex but he had nothing to do with it. Sarah got baptized in the last baptism because her friend was getting baptized. She did not know that she was going to get converted in the waters. I don’t believe in baptismal regeneration. But I know that she got regenerated in baptism.
- If you perform a sacrament and it does not produce life, it is nothing but a religious ritual. If your baptisms don’t draw people closer to God then they are not being done in faith. You can call baptism just an “outward symbol of an inward work” but if it is only a symbol then you might as well just send people home with a water bottle and tell them to baptize themselves later on. At The Mission, we see God do incredible things in water baptism. We tell people to expect the Holy Ghost to meet their faith in the water and often times He waaaaay exceeds it.
- He exceeded Sarah’s expectations and she now has a salvation testimony because of it.
- But that still was not as incredible as Cynthia’s testimony. Amazing transformation.
- I was proud of how both of these ladies shared how God was working in their lives.
- They both happen to be in my Connection Group by the way.
- I said at one point that Jesus is so pimp. I would probably take that back if I had to do it all over again. But you get my point. I guess I could have said he was a baller, but you catch my drift.
- Saw some first time visitors hit the ground under the power of the Holy Ghost. That was nice.
- Had an amazing baptism after service.
- Dozen or so first time baptisms.
- Some folks got rocked.
- One girl came out of the water speaking in tongues.
- Other folks got delivered.
- When we were done, I had Sergio give a Gospel presentation to the folks who came to watch. Then five more people got baptized including a first time baptism.
- I know others were supposed to get in the water. Chickens! it was not that cold.
- Exhausted.
- Blessed!

Today was a good day.
BTW, you did not mention that you were surprised today. Several people shared testimonies of how your ministry impacted their lives in honor of pastor appreciation.

Yeah. That was a little embarrassing.
