Only Believe – Don Stewart
Only Believe by Don Stewart is like looking into the revivals of years gone by.
At one time in America there were hundreds of revivalists that loaded up a truck with tents, chairs and instruments and crossed the country holding healing revivals. Any one of them today would be the hottest thing out.
In this anthology, Stewart covers meetings by Dowie, Wigglesworth, Aimee Semple McPherson, Charles Price, William Branham, Oral Roberts, Jack Coe, A.A. Allen and others.
The one drawback to the book is the style in which it was written. The entire book is written in question and answer format. Normally questions are asked then the ghost writer simply writes the book from the answers. Not so here. We get the questions and answers. No further research, no documentation (which should have been easy to come by) no cooberating stories (which would have been really cool to read) just the questions and answers.
But those answers make this a great read for the student of healing and revival.
