Monday Morning Musings

- The Mission has a high percentage of young people and many go to be with family on the holidays. So on Christmas time it can feel like a bit of a ghost town. We had a bunch of visitors yesterday and a bunch of folks out. The combination made for a challenging experience to minister in.
- On top of that, we had issues with the location. They tried to tell us they could not open the front gate and we would have to have everyone drive the wrong way down an access road to get in. That was not going to happen. My wife stepped in and told the folks that there was no option but to get the gate to work. She sent out Kevin and told him to make it happen. The custodian told Tracey, “The key did not work. I did not make it open. He did not make it open. It was God!” Amen.
- On a sad note, we sent off Ricky today. He will be spending the next year on vacation touring the middle east with a company called the United States Army. I believe most of their time will be in Iraq. They have some hot spots there that lots of Americans are visiting these days.
We laid hands on him and declared the protection of the Lord. - Had a bunch of folks fill out the Connection Card indicating they prayed the prayer of salvation.
- Had a great time of communion.
- At the end I casually asked that if anyone needed prayer to come forward and a bunch of folks did. It was pretty awesome.
- Pix and podcast is up.
- On to 2010
