How Do You Know if You Have Really Changed?

I got a friend request today. At first I did not recognize the name or the picture. But after I read the attached note I just had to laugh. I knew this person when I was in the Coast Guard stationed on Kodiak Island (the rock).
“Wow, Carl the Hip Hop Coastie has grown up to be Carl the Hip Hop Christian. I have to say i am a bit shocked ! C___ W____ from Kodiak. i would hope you would remember me, we were pretty good friends during your time on “The Rock”.”.
Nobody is more shocked then me. All I can say is God is good!
Isn’t great to find old friends or to have them find you! I just recently connected with two old friends who I have not seen in 30 years. I was awestruck.
