Just finished reading a book on Billy Sunday.
I get encouraged reading about folks who actually accomplished something of lasting importance for Jesus.
Cities would build 10,000 seat “Billy Sunday Tabernacles” to host his meetings. Before he came to a city he would have them have prayer goups throughout the city interceeding for the meetings.
In Scranton, Pennsylvania, during a three week period 4,137 prayer meetings were held in private homes with a combined attendance of 68,360 people.
This was over 100 years ago!
I think this book was intended for young readers but I was encouraged.
