Baptism

At The Mission, we don’t do baptism like some religious ritual. I believe it is a means of grace and that requires me to conduct baptisms in faith. So when I get in the waters of baptism I need to hear God and discern what is happening around me.
Last night I heard a young woman tell that she did not experience anything in her baptism till the third dunk. After that she felt free and has been happy ever since.
I could have done the religious thing, got folks wet and told them that’s all there is, or I can take a little risk, operate in faith, and wait for God to anoint the waters. We do the later and it works out pretty well for us.

AMEN!!….. it’s a waist of time without Jesus there!
