An Open Letter to President Obama

November 17, 2009 at 8:06 am Posted in Misc

I know you are a very busy person.  As I write this I believe you are in China (please tell the Chinese I said “What’s Up”) reviewing our ever increasing debt load the Chinese are carrying for us (think you can do something about that?  Like ending an unfunded war?).  But I digress.

I know you are traveling but I am going to be traveling as well.  I am going to be visiting Washington D.C. the for a few days in the first week of December.  Are you going to be in town?  How about we hook up?

My hotel is on Pennsylvania Ave.  You have a place on the Ave as well, right?  Wanna chill?

I don’t drink beer but I would love to engage you on foreign policy, a progressive domestic agenda, faith based initiatives and the like.  You might know me, I may be the sole pastor of a Pentecostal church who does not think your birth is prophesied in the book of Revelation ( we are a funny bunch).

Anyway, if you are out of town can you have one of your people give me a tour of your office?    I tried to ask my House member, Rep. Ron Klein, but he did not email me back.

Anyway, I will probably stop by on Thursday the 3rd. If you are up for company, have someone waiting outside for me.

Well, if Obama doesn’t have dinner with you, I’m certainly interested.

If so, that would be very cool. If not, I understand. But with you being so close, a guy’s gotta try. :)

Got it. Sorry. I don’t seem to notice E-mails on this new phone like I used to on my BlackBerry.
